“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
When Eve took the forbidden fruit from the tree in the Garden, she had no idea what the outcome was going to be. That sin and disobedience separated us all from God. That sin brought destruction and death. But, the story doesn’t end there.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.“Isaiah 41:31
Did you know that when the appointed time comes for the eagle chicks to learn how to fly, their mother suddenly throws them out of their cozy nest? but just before hitting the ground, she swipes them up back to the nest. She then throws them out again until they start to use their wings as they should.

Have you ever felt the nudge NOT TO do something or say something? that was the Holy Spirit trying to stop you. He knows the end won’t be good. The bad part is that sometimes our human nature is to do it anyway. We want what we want now. We let our feelings and desires control us. Most always it ends up leading us to destruction.
“The word of the Lord came to him ‘Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith which is east of the Jordan…’ So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. ” 1 Kings 17:2,5
Have you ever been through a season that has lasted years? Where it’s been one bad thing after the other. A time where God semed to be silent and distant. You might have wonder, where are you, God? Do you even care? because I am in the same mess.
“From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18: 201-21
Have you ever said something and two seconds later you regretted it? we all have. Many times we feel the impulse to speak our minds, stand up for ourselves, bring our point of view or even prove someone wrong, and there is nothing wrong with that. But there are times when we use our tongues the wrong way.
