Hidden for a season

“The word of the Lord came to him ‘Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith which is east of the Jordan…’ So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. ” 1 Kings 17:2,5

Have you ever been through a season that has lasted years? Where it’s been one bad thing after the other. A time where God semed to be silent and distant. You might have wonder, where are you, God? Do you even care? because I am in the same mess.

Watch Your Tongue

“From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18: 201-21

Have you ever said something and two seconds later you regretted it? we all have. Many times we feel the impulse to speak our minds, stand up for ourselves, bring our point of view or even prove someone wrong, and there is nothing wrong with that. But there are times when we use our tongues the wrong way.

Rerouting​​

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

The other day I was heading to a Dr’s appointment while walking to the train I realize it was closed, so I had to find another entrance. To make the story short, I thought I was going the right way, but I ended up going around two blocks over and over again without noticing it. To say the least, it was one of the coldest days of the month, which made things even worst. I survived and reached my destination. When I finally found the entrance, I couldn’t believe myself, I was only a few feet away, but because I didn’t know where I was going, it took far longer than what it should. I said to myself, WHAT? I could have saved myself a lot of time.
